ABSTRACT
The review is devoted to the diagnostic and prognostic role of cardiotrophin-1 (CT-1) in patients with acute and chronic heart failure (CHF). The article provides information on the main regulatory effect of CT-1 in relation to the processes of cardiovascular remodeling. We considered the prospects of monitoring the plasma concentration of CT-1for the individualization of the assessment of cardiovascular risk in patients with CHF at various stages of the cardiovascular continuum.
