The role of a practitioner of Physical Therapy has transformed from a mere technician following prescriptive orders to an autonomous health-care professional with thorough scientific understanding and evidence-based practice. Vision 2020 as implemented by the American Association of Physical Therapy (APTA), acknowledged key zones such as professionalism, direct access, evidence-base, and first contact practice to organize physical therapy a more autonomous profession. The concept of Diagnosis and classification in Physical Therapy are corresponding to the diagnosis made by other healthcare practitioners. It does not aim to infringe on the practice and diagnosis made by others or attempt to undertake duties and roles that are outside the range of education and training1.
