Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) is a broader term that incorporates the domains of Autism and Asperger’s syndrome. ASD is a neurodevelopmental disorder which is characterized by distinct features of social, communication impairments and restricted repetitive behaviors1. Furthermore, there are broader array of symptoms other than the core characteristics that appears in ASD2. The individuals with autism exhibits clumsiness3. There are posture, gait, and balance disturbances, abnormality in motor performance and co-ordination as well as adaptation of various passive postures4. The rhythmic bimanual tasks, handedness and hand preferences is impaired in ASD5.
