ABSTRACT
Aim: To determine the prevalence of H Pylori infection in chronic idiopathic urticaria cases.
Methodology: Hundred patients with H/O chronic idiopathic urticaria with 100 normal controls were included in this study. IgM Elisa for H Pylori was done in patients and controls.
Results: H Pylori infection was positive in 57% of patients while 27% in controls. A significant difference was observed in these groups.
Conclusion: The conclusion of this study is that a strong association of H Pylori infection with chronic idiopathic urticaria.
